The term Crannog refers to small islands often artificial, remains of them can be found on many of Ireland's lakes. These islands in most cases were fortified and lived on by people as recently as the 17th century. Crannogs have been used by man probably as far back as 4,000 BC. They are usually round or oval in shape and varied enormously in size. Often they were approached by a causeway from the mainland. The crannog afforded protection not only from unfriendly neighbours but wild animals also.
This set has the Crannog is set on a lake and is attached to the mainland by a wooden walkway. It has 2D and 3D plants and trees, It is best to turn off the 3D plants in the scene tab to speed up test renders and then turn them back on for the final render if needed. It also has three Sky Dome environments, Daytime, Sunset and Nighttime with moon light, each has its own HDRI image to light the scene as well as other lights to add detail. The HDRI environment can be rotated to move the light around the Crannog by selecting the UberEnviroment2 1 in the seen tab and using the Y Rotate in the Parameters tab. The SkyDomes can be used to render any other object using its HDRI and the water can be replaced with any ground plane you choose.
